Why did I buy the Black & Decker imobile electronics charger?
We just purchased a new vehicle and we started thinking about the future adventures we'd have in it. It's a 2010 Mazda 5, and somehow having USB ports on the dash wasn't a requirement for me. Enter the Black & Decker imobile Personal Electronics Charger.
Between my Motorola Droid, the iPod Touch, and my wife's cellphone, we new we would need ways to stay charged on any lengthy road trips in the new car or even the old Saturn Vue. This 2 port USB charger fits snugly into your vehicles power outlet to provide up to 2 devices with 4 watts of power. This way we can keep more of our portable devices charged at once while listening to music through the car's AUX port.
I suppose we could've just used the (car lighter style) power adapters that came with our phones, but then we'd just need one of those splitters anyway. The Black & Decker mobile charger provided us with an easy way to keep our devices within reach and charged.
We jumped on this USB charger because the others we reviewed were mostly 1 port USB chargers. Having the second port made the deal for us.
Its not the pretties little addition to our vehicle or arsenal of USB related devices, but it does its job and provides some added convenience. I purchased this at Target for around $15. You can purchase a similar one now form our Amazon Store!
