A little while back I picked up the GE 45602 Lamp Module, but it wasn't until recently that I needed to enlist its help in controlling the lights in our home. Our Home Automation system already operates with several other Z-Wave enabled devices.
Unlike the other lamp module in our home, the GE 45602 has two AC outputs. One controlled by the Z-Wave system and another Standard AC outlet. Its a bit chunky, but the horizontal layout makes up for it, at least when plugged in behind a end table or similar piece of furniture.
We currently control this device with a Vera as our primary controller and the GE 45601 as our Secondary controller. As with most of the other lighting devices in our z-wave network, this device was easy to add and configure.
Summary
It works well enough so I would definitely recommend this product. Especially if you can still get it for the price I paid. In spring of 2011, this GE z-wave module was only ~$10 at Radio Shack.
Why did I buy the GE 45602? To extend my existing home automation network, and it passes with flying colors.
