Vera by Mi Casa Verde, sounds green
Mi Casa Verde produces a Home Automation router that helps manager your Z Wave devices. The spirit of the concept is that you can run a home automation controller that also monitors energy consumption on connected devices at 30W/day as opposed to what it might take to keep a similar PC based solution running.
I'll have more updates once I get to crack this thing open and play with it.
UPDATE - 2/1/2010
Well, I've had this device for a week now. It still doesn't work. It blinks lights and acts like a wireless router... but unfortunately I wasn't in the market for an 802.11g router.
- Just recieved the Vera unit
- I start scratching my head, "Why did I buy this??"
- Days go buy, still no support!
- I was sent a European version
